Wanda Aikens

Wanda Aikens is a professional arts and arts educator in Washington, DC. She was a former coordinator of the Anacostia Museum partnership with Lucy Moten Elementary School. She has an Associates Arts Degree from Prince George’s Community College. She has a certification in Exhibits Preparation from Smithsonian Institution. She was also a manger of the International Art Gallery in Frenchman’s Reff, St. Thomas, VI. She was also an exhibit specialist at the Capital Children’s Museum in Washington DC. She served with numerous organizations, including Hadley Hospital, Senior Citizen Counseling and Delivery Service, DC Public School Head Start, Med-Kid National Learning Center, DC Department of Correction’s Second Change Program. She was also an arts project contract for Hampton Institute in Hampton, VA. Through her art, she expresses the inner beauty of life. Since 2006, Wanda Aikens has been the executive director of the Ward 7 Arts Collaborative, Inc, a grassroots non-profit that promotes community art stewardship.
